About the training
The indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions or Scope 3 emissions refers to all indirect emissions (not included in Scope 2) that occur in the value chain of the reporting company, including both upstream and downstream emissions. Scope 3 emissions that are a consequence of the activities of the reporting company but occur at sources owned or controlled by another company.
For many companies, 80% or more of their greenhouse gas emissions come from their value chain. Therefore, developing an understanding of Scope 3 is crucial for effectively managing emissions-related risks and opportunities and reducing value-chain GHG emissions.
This course is designed to help professionals learn how to account for and report Scope 3 emissions.
