Dr. Avvari V. Mohan is a Professor, Deputy Head (Engagement & Impact) and Interim Deputy Head for Research at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia. He oversees the school’s external engagement agenda and in driving impact projects. Mohan strongly believes Asian businesses, in their own unique ways, have been and can provide innovative solutions to society’s problems while also generating economic/financial gains. He has nearly 30 years of academic experience, and his research is underpinned by the concept of Innovation Systems – investigating inter-organizational linkages of business organizations for innovation and sustainability-oriented business strategies. He has had experience working on fieldwork-based multi-country research projects, publishing his work in international journals and in reports for international agencies.
