Internal Carbon Pricing Workshop
13 February 2018
Singapore
CSRWorks International has collaborated with the World Resources Institute (WRI) to organise a workshop on Internal Carbon Pricing.

Carbon Pricing is emerging as a critical tool to accelerate emission reductions. As of 2017, 42 national and 25 subnational jurisdictions have priced carbon through a carbon tax or an emission trading scheme. A growing number of firms and investors are applying an internal carbon price to prepare for climate risks, meet their mitigation targets and capitalise on opportunities as the global economy takes a low carbon pathway. Corporate use of an internal price on carbon nearly tripled in 2015 to 437 companies, and more than 500 additional businesses plan to implement an internalcarbon price by 2017.

Objective
The objective of this workshop is to give the participants a thorough understanding of internal carbon pricing as a tool and equip them with the knowledge and tools to initiate internal carbon pricing within their businesses.

Registration
Early bird registration deadline: 12 Jan 2018
Last date for registration: 29 Jan 2018

Science-Based Targets Setting Workshop
14 February 2018
Singapore
The Science-Based Target Setting workshop is organised by CSRWorks International in collaboration with the World Resources Institute (WRI), one of the three co-founders of The Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

The Science-based targets are mitigation targets in-line with the level of decarbonization required to keep global temperature increase below 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial temperatures, as described in the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR5). They provide companies with a defined pathway to future-proof their growth. The Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), WWF and CDP. SBTiaims to raise the ambition of corporate mitigation efforts to ensure that greenhouse gas reduction targets are set at a rate consistent with the pace recommended by climate scientists to limit the worst impacts of climate change.

Objective
To gain an understanding of Science-Based Target objectives and process, obtain practical knowledge of setting emissions reduction targets considered by the scientific community as necessary to limit global warming to less than 2°C.

Registration
Early bird registration deadline: 12 Jan 2018
Last date for registration: 29 Jan 2018
